$35K/week. I was moved around so much by my franchisee because I had turned many failing stores into very lucrative units with devoted customers. Whenever a store was operating poorly, I was sent to evaluate and retrain the employees on correct policies and procedures, improve customer relations, and improve overall organizational climate.

• Human Resources: in charge of all aspects of employee relations including hiring and retention, training and development, promoting, evaluations, demoting, firing, recruitment, scheduling, disciplinary actions, ensuring safety guidelines were followed, motivation, enforcing corporate policies.

• Customer Service and Marketing: interacted with customers daily, took care of complaints, built relationships with local organizations (schools, hotels, churches, chamber of commerce), distributed advertisements around the community.

• Financial/Office work: ordered inventory, monitored and controlled labor costs, monitored and controlled food costs, examined daily and weekly reports for any discrepancies in food cost, labor cost, or unit income, researched previous reports to predict inventory and labor needs.

• Achievements: Increased sales at many of the units I managed ranging from 5% YTD to 60% YTD, received multiple 5 star achievements during unannounced corporate inspections, won the “Rolex Challenge” (store must maintain sales over $20K/week for 4 consecutive weeks and receive at least 3.5 stars on corporate inspection) 2 times at the $20K level, 1 time each at the $25K, $30K, and $35K levels, was named Manager of the Year in 2003, and received the Helping Hand award in 2006.
