With a fellow undergrad student, we have been working on creating a net launcher system to capture undesired drones. Under the tasks completed, we have run simulation studies in MatLab, completed calculations off of which to base our design, and are in the midst of creating a physical model. WORK EXPERIENCE Tutoring
Tutor roughly 15 hours per week each semester to assist fellow athletes in various courses.
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for MAE 177 – Intro to CAD Spring 2020 Semester
Worked to assist over 300 students with course questions. The course is based in Solidworks, and involves modeling a series of parts, approximately 8 in total, before assembling them and creating a final drawing. There is also a final modeling project of an object of the student’s choosing.
Intern in the Policy Services Unit at RT Specialty Summer and School Breaks, 2018-2020
- Prepare documents, spreadsheets and a variety of insurance forms including endorsements, invoices and other documents
- Follow up with clients and underwriters, as needed, for necessary information.
- Process claim notifications and work with Premium Accounting on client issues
Week-long work experience at Endress & Hauser
While in Germany, I was able to shadow multiple employees and attempt various tasks, most falling under the title of Industry Mechanic. The internship was organized as a project through the school.
