Item Manager/Supply Technician

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to, inventory management and controls of primary, scanning, stocking, receiving, processing, posting, monitors, tracks and records. Purchasing with a government Purchase card and using VA form 2237 as required to maintain adequate stock levels, restocking, rotation and extractions of outdated items supporting direct patient care services. I used manual pallet jacks without restriction or special training to move bulky, heavy, or high quality of receivables where necessary and i ensured receipts are accurately documented, meeting prescribed performance standard as outlined in governing instructions. I also had to review generated reports such as Packaging/Procurement Source Discrepancy Report, Due in Item Report, Emergency Stock Report, Auto Gen Report, Inactive Item Report, Usage Demand Item Report, Days of Stock Report, Days of Stock On Hand Report, Stock Status Report, Stock Status Report, Comprehensive Report, Long Supply, and documenting corrective action in the Inventory Portfolio for my selected inventories. Also validated receiving reports against actual products and quantities received, posted receiving reports to inventory points, Stocked and maintained storage locations using the First in/First out method. I reviewed existing stock for approaching expiration dates. I was responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels, accurate unit of issue, correct conversion factors of the items, overall inventory accuracy reconciling any inventory deficiencies or discrepancies. Excess damage, expired or supplies no longer in service. I conducted annual Wall to Wall inventory on all my assigned inventory points meeting the minimum accuracy rate and ensuring all mandatory fields. Accurate values and inventory controls are in compliance as outlined in regulation, policies, procedures and SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures). I maintained environmental controls for all my assigned inventories, such as package integrity, fire and safety regulations, cleanliness and organization, work spaces were organized, clear of debris, and infections. I monitored and took action on temperature and humidity through Checkpoint or subsequent system for assigned locations and ensured that physical access to inventory is limited and controlled. Researched all pertinent data required to complete the Clinical Product Review Committee (CPRC) New Product Request package.
