After matriculating at the end of 2013 from Hilton College in KwaZulu-Natal, I took a gap year working as a Gap Tutor/Boarder Master at Brymore Academy, a boys' secondary school with academy status, located in Cannington, Bridgwater, Somerset, England.
This position taught me:
A lot about myself, as well as a number of transferable skills applicable to a variety of roles not only within education but within a variety of career options.
A great deal about responsibility and reliability.
How to correctly and efficiently deal with and manage situations.
How to deal with people both enthusiastically and firmly in accordance with any given situation,

March 2015 – January 2016 Position: Waiter
Place of Work: Olive and Oil Mediterranean Restaurant, Pietermaritzburg
I worked full time as a waiter in, arguably, the number one restaurant in
Pietermaritzburg. Olive and Oil is an ever growing franchise with locations in Hillcrest, Umhlanga, Glenwood and as I have already mentioned, PMB.
This position taught me:

Degree: Throughout 2016 I studied a Creative Brand Communication Degree at Vega School of Design in Pretoria.
1.January 2016 - December 2016
I worked as a Barmen - at the Mumford and Sons Concert which took place at the Voortrekker Monument.
I worked as a Barmen - in association with Arcade Empire at two different events - a tequila festival, as well as a Halloween Festival
I worked as a Barmen at the Voortrekker monument once again serving non-alcoholic beverages at the Bethel Music Tour Event, Bethel Music is a community of worshippers and artists, pursuing God’s presence & sharing life together.
The multiple part-time bar-tending positions that I worked throughout the year taught me:
To effectively manage and meet the needs of multiple customers efficiently and accurately
To keep a level temperament and think clearly in highly pressurised situations
The correct protocol to utilise when dealing with difficult (as well as highly inebriated ) customers in order to meet their needs in an amicable fashion while still upholding and adhering to company regulations and conditions of service.

I worked part time on a number of occasions for The Greek Merchant - Selling Merchandise and Promoting a variety of different Events in Johannesburg and Pretoria throughout the year.
I sold merchandise promoting the I sold merchandise and programs for the Slavas Snow Show which took place at Monte casino for a 3 day period.
