It is with enthusiasm that I write to express my interest in assisting your company with providing COVID-19 screenings. I’m happy to assist with other internal care needs if the need arises. I believe my training and experience would enable me to be of service to your patients.
As of a year ago, I practiced full time as an Internal Medicine physician assistant with Providence Health and Services in Portland, Oregon. I was fortunate to work in a medical home model clinic. I practiced as part of a team providing chronic disease management as well as immediate care medicine. After four fulfilling years, I resigned to assist my husband in pursuing his career interests. It was my intention to continue working as a locum or a float provider with Providence this past year but COVID 19 and a move out of Portland changed those plans. I am staying up to date with CME. I have recently completed credentialing to provide direct care with Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) in Bend, OR beginning in January. My work at VIM will only take 4-8 hours a week. I would have plenty of time to assist with telework.
