•Created/Developed illustrations to support Merck Pharmaceuticals Global Learning and Development training program. Illustrated training model for use with an international audience of employees to communicate the development process.

•Illustrated The Adventures of Sir Pigglesworth children’s book series of eight books. Each book includes a cover design and 30-40 full color hand-drawn illustrations. The books were produced in various languages for international distribution. The book series was awarded first-place in the Texas Children’s Chapter Book and the Royal Dragonfly Book Award. The series is currently on sale through Amazon.

•Created/Developed original graphics and all support materials for “One River” Training Program. A corporate training experience for adults using a river journey metaphor to teach team building concepts in a non-traditional way. Adapted graphics across multiple platforms and media to meet client needs.

•Executed technical illustrations for Gichner Shelter Systems, PA. in users manuals during continuing part-time assignment using Corel Draw.

•Concept and create 2 infographic displays for company-wide training event at Ernst and Young Corporation, New York using hand-drawn, original illustrations. These were displayed as large format, free standing displays.

•Executed game concepts, original artwork and packaging designs for five educational games for the national distribution by Franklin Learning Systems. Provided all publication files to meet production requirements.

•Created game concepts, original artwork and packaging designs for seven educational products for the national distribution by The Guidance Group.

National Security Agency October 2001- June 2012

Art Director

•Promoted to Art Director from within NSA Creative Imaging and tasked to raise the image of the organization to present the products, services and personnel as meeting the highest professional and technical standards.

•Created concepts, designed graphics and presentation materials used to obtain NSA senior leadership approval and funding of two large hallway exhibits.

•Led in-house team of designers to produce and install two large hallway exhibits within established deadline and budget at a savings of $100,000 compared to outside vendors.

•Created character concepts and artwork for the “NSA Cryptokids” on NSA.gov/kids website to raise national awareness of NSA mission and career paths.

•Launched ideas, created and directed artwork that was used in a series of “Security Awareness Posters” distributed worldwide at a saving of $6,000 per poster over outside vendors.

•Developed and implemented a Quality Control process into the graphic workflow, reducing the waste of time and limited resources, and resulting higher customer satisfaction.

•Introduced 3D modeling to create original graphics, providing a new resource for in supporting the marketing of the NSA mission into Cyber Security.

•Developed classified graphics representing 10 programs for presentation to congressional leaders attending the “NSA Expo” resulting in increased support and funding of NSA operations.

•Charged by the Director of Communications to take an active role in planning sessions for the “NSA 50th Anniversary” with major stakeholders, providing art direction resulting in successful marketing and promotional events throughout 2009.

•Represented NSA Research and Development at a 60 day internship with Disney Imagineering to learn creative best practices resulting in reduced cycle time in producing new applications for mission critical programs.

•Created graphics and layouts used for classified and unclassified publications, presentations, websites, and exhibits used to effectively market the NSA mission and programs.

•Introduced new methods for integrating traditional and digital design into the graphic process providing a tailored image resource for communication of NSA mission.

•Led brainstorming sessions and created artwork used in a series of publications to promote operational security best practices throughout the U.S. Intelligence community.
