HR Benefits Specialist

San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District 02/2018 – Present

Administer, conduct, present, and assist employees during annual enrollment. Process qualifying benefit changes outside of open enrollment. Enter all new hires.

Handles routine benefit inquiries to ensure a high level of service and responsive, knowledgeable support for employees.

Prepare/conduct new employee orientation. Improved new hire orientation presentations and created videos to share with new hires.

Started the districts wellness program, including wellness challenges (by collaborating with local fitness companies), vaccine clinics, and help with health fairs.

Assist with the termination of employment for personnel (resignation/dismissal, exit interviews, payoff, technology termination, and insurance options).
