Met with staff members at the Department of Human Services every week to discuss my goals and talk about what more I can do to help the community itself. It was an eye-opening experience to learn about this community that I live close to and gain so much volunteering experience. Also, getting to see the children learning and the wheels turning in their heads because they are paying attention to a lesson I got to plan is one of the best feelings.
