As the manager of the machining department we have cut outsourcing cost by 60%. With the purchased of a Haas machining center, we now do rapid prototype and reduce machining cost
As the manager of the maintenance department, successfully developed and implemented a preventive maintenance program that has increased machine uptime by 25%. Also successfully developed and implemented our lockout/tag out program.
Stone City Products – Bedford, IN 05/2003-11/2014
Design/Processing Engineer
With stone city products my duties were split between design and manufacturing. With the creation of process drawing specific to the operation being performed along with blueprint and GD &T interpolation training of operator, we could achieve better understanding of the processes and improve quality.
With my recommendation we purchased a Mazak Nexus machining center and Renishaw Cyclone digitizing system, with the addition of Die Quote and Dynaform die simulation software that can predict metal cracking, wrinkling and many other problems facing the stamping industry. This gave us the ability to do 90% of all die repairs in house
