Dates Employed: Mar 2017 – Present

Employment Duration: 3 yrs

Location: Witbank Area, South Africa

I started my journey at Wetback as an H.R Clerk doing general administrative duties. I then worked my way up to become an H.R administrator in charge of handling all time and attendance matters with a team of 7 employees.

This opened up opportunities to start proving my value to the company in terms of providing change and cost effective strategies in all areas that I was humbly asked to start helping in. I was offered the title of acting HRIS until I could fully implement the new Time Data Sequel

(TDS) system to move away from the conventional cardboard clock cards and on to a fully automated biometric system that saved not only time but also speed up the wages processes and limit pay queries to a minimum.

I achieved this milestone in three months where I familiarised myself with not only the full TDS system but also the whole wages and earnings structure that was implemented. At this point I started changing all areas where there were shortcomings and time/production lost because of errors originating from a support services point of view. I was then asked to take over all Wage Bureau duties to keep Wetback in line and data integrity safe and secure on a monthly basis to ensure full compliance from earnings and time and attendance.

My duties as an HRIS Officer then became plentiful and I embraced the challenge resulting in the following duties:

Payroll and TDS

b) Upkeep and maintenance of TDS.

d) Submitting PR’s in order to make sure that we meet the requirements set by HO in order to obtain said meals.

e) Submitting a comprehensive list to meal providers to ensure white collars are provided with food.

f) Arranging of accommodation for our blue collars with GE/ESKOM (3 day to 30 day process g) Arranging of accommodation for white collars with SIMBA ( also a 24 hour duty as there are always power/water/faults/issues that are being reported) Wage Bureau.
