Quality Assurance Manager- Product Release

Responsible for the development, execution, and management of operational plans for the quality department. Actively participates in daily planning meeting with all department management in facility including General Manager. Report daily progress, issues to be resolved and any support needed to successfully perform duties. Offer needed support to another department. Reports to VP of Quality and Regulatory. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the effective management of employees including policy and procedure interpretation, mentoring, training, growth & development.

• Responsible for tracking and presenting Quality Metrics. Prepares and presents data, results and other quality related information to the executive management team and drives improvements to the Quality Metrics.

• Addresses customer complaints, and leads investigations into root cause analysis, containment, identifies/implements the appropriate corrective action/preventative action (CAPA), effectiveness checks and providing follow up communication and problem resolution to customers. Addresses deviations with the customers.

• Directs, manages and maintains product release reviews and all pertinent records, including Batch production records and multiple Laboratory Certificates of Analysis to confirm accuracy and provide guidance to quality technicians to determine acceptability of product for release.

• Partner with all departments in the organization to ensure all collected documentation is accurate and acceptable and ensure all errors are addressed and correct for release of product to the market. Prioritize releases.

Quality Assurance Manager

take prompt corrective actions; while minimizing product exposure and production down time.

• Accountable for the preparation and the execution of USDA daily verification tasks, as well as

numerous 3rd party audits and USDA food safety system assessments.

• Takes appropriate corrective action as a result of any findings generated.

• Develops and fosters a strong working relationship with the USDA.

Food Safety and Quality Improvement:

• Prevents HACCP, SSOP and process or product failures by working to drive continuous improvement

of product quality through developing food safety and quality plans, process controls with attention to

process.
