WORK EXPERIENCE

I am a Supervisor at the Mandarin Oriental Doha Hotel; where I’ve been a part of the pre-opening team from October 2018 to March 2019. The Hotel opened its doors on the 9th of March 2019. I was hired as Hostess, after 1 year of employment I received promotion to Supervisor.

Pre-opening phase:

●I did various trainings which includes:

OASys, Infor HMS, Infor Genesis, HotSOS, OpenTable, SevenRooms and Ecolab

●Updating Standard Operating Procedures and the Policies and Procedures.

●Creating the Sequence of Service of the daily operation.

●Worked on the InforGenesis system creating different boards by adding all items on the system.

●Assisted Management with Admin. Making calls to suppliers.

●Creating Welcome Packages to new colleagues who joined the company to give them an introduction to the company and what their duties would be.

●Assisted in conducting trainings to new colleagues who joined.

Hostess daily duties:

Before shift double check any new arrivals. Confirm any VIP guests and take note of their special requests. Familiarize myself with their names and room numbers and print out in-house guest and new arrival list for morning briefing.

Call guests to confirm their bookings, confirm any preferences or requests.

Taking Reservations and updating them accordingly.

Welcoming guests upon their arrival, introducing the concept and showing them around and if requested taking them on tour to view other outlets

Making sure guests are happy and satisfied upon their departure.

Stock count of stationary and doing orders
