WORKING EXPERIENCE

1. Emirates Steel Industries (RM5), Abu Dhabi, UAE Emirates Steel Industries (RM5) is VAI SIEMENS designed & supplied Mill, capacity 400,000 tons/year, three lines rebar slitting mill. Emirates Steel is one of the leading steel manufacturers in the Middle East region with the capacity to produce 3.5 million tons of rebar, wire rod and heavy sections. Emirates Steel diversified portfolio of products enables Emirates Steel to meet customer requirements across industries. To do this, we rely on our specialized production facilities located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Size rolled: Rebar 8,10,12,14 16mm by slitting process & 18,20, 22, 25, 32 mm from single line process. Designation: Roll Shop Supervisor (Acting Section Head) Work Period: August 01, 2013 to till date.

Job Profile:

• Follow up all the technical process for the different sub section of Roll shop (Roll/Guides Machining, Roll/Guides assembly/ Thermax assembly & maintenance. In-house fabrication/repair work, Roll control and consumables) to achieve the targeted production plan figures and coordination with other departments/sections to achieve the section/company goals.

• Maintaining pass & roll condition by changing after achieving pass tonnage capacity.

• Coordinates the execution of Plant maintenance activities to avoid shop/plant interruption and achieve the targeted plant availability.

• Define the Rolling Mill Plant (Roll shop & operation) annual Budget figure and follow up the procurement of the requested consumables and spare parts.

• Compile and review roll shop/operation records, control and inspection sheets for roll shop machining / assembly activities.

• Prepare the report on the execution of roll shop/ operation share in production plan achievement.

• Communicate with rolling mill, shops & operation sections for daily requirements of spare parts, issuance & monitor production requirement.

• Preparation of Bill of Materials.

• Prepare roll shop work standard to cover all assembly, machining and maintenance process.

• Preparation of Safe work instruction, Job safety analysis & HIRA (Hazard Identification and risk assessment) for routine and non-routine activities of operation & roll shop.

• Reviewing of Job method statements (JMS) provided by contractors for technical jobs.

• Report and follow up H&S observations, waste management & housekeeping related issues through mySHEQ safety portal.

• Carry out monthly HSE inspection and report through mySHEQ safety portal.

• Implementing H&S requirements within the roll shop & operation to achieve departmental H&S KPI’s.

• Encouraging technicians to follow safety procedures by conducting daily safety tool box talk in Roll shop / Operation to avoid any accident/incident.

2. Alyamamah Steel Co. for Reinforcement Steel Bars, Yanbu, KSA Alyamamah Steel was Danieli Morgardshammer designed & supplied Mill, capacity 600,000 ton/year, two line rebar slitting mill. Having walking hearth furnace with productivity of 115 ton/h, Descaler, Conventional stands in roughing with horizontal/vertical configurations, cartridge stands in intermediate, Two no twist X blocks, Thermo processing for enhancing the Mech. Properties, High speed Delivery FOR Rebar,Bar Break & pinch roll & crank shear for low speed & rotary shear with the deviator system for high speed cooling bed with twin channel & Extraction Trolley for Finishing area and pendulum shear for cold shear area “magnet roller & tying machines & storage area. Size rolled: Rebar 8,10,12,14 mm by slitting process, 16,18,20,22,25,32,36 mm from single line process. Designation: Production Engineer (Roll Shop Section Head) Work Period: May 11, 2011 to May 10, 2013.

Mukand Ltd. is a Manufacturer of Stainless Steel wire rod from Dia 5.5 mm to Dia 26 mm of various grades

(high carbon and EN grades).It is ISO 9001: 2000 Certified, TPM and 5S practicing organization. Its monthly production is 20000 MT, turn over is 2500 Cr.p.a. And have 2000 employees. 60 TPH oil bath furnace, 15 Numbers horizontal and vertical stands with one Roughing stand (3 high reversible), Finishing block having 8 stands. There are Three finishing line-one from block line which is finish from block second is from coiler line finishing from 15th stand and third is Cooling Bed for straight Rolling. Worked with Viraj Profile Ltd. at Tarapur, Maharashtra since 10.07.2005. Viraj is a well-known name in production of Stainless Steel. It produces Stainless Steel of about 1 lakhs ton per annum, having a turnover of about 2200 crore. All of its products are finished products like angle, channel, flange and fine wire. It is mainly an export-based company, 98% of its products go to international market. I was in its wire rod mill, which is producing wire 5.5 to 12 mm and Bar of dia 12 mm to 34 mm.
