• I inspect all plain end pipe and coupling product on arrival to the yard.

I carry out 100 percent inspection on all threaded connection using gauging procedure, specification, work order, with reference to API 5CT and TSLI as a guide.

I oversee and supervise the quality control and inspection activities, to ensure processes are in order to deliver quality products to the customer.

• I ensure that all gauges are calibrated as at when due and keep record.

• I assist in quality management system audit in vallourec Nigeria.

• I liaise with client third party inspector (TPI) in the plant.

• I carry out straightness test on received plain end pipes.

• I issue out calibrated gauges for usage and keep record of movement.

• I keep record of all calibrated gauges of drift. I assist in conducting QA/QC training for new inspector and CNC operator on how to set and gauge VAM connection.

•

I do inspections on threaded OCTG pipe of various sizes and grade from 4 to 14”.

•

Quality check on finished threaded pipe e.g. stenciling, coupling homogeneous paint etc.

•

Liaise with CNC operator to ascertain quality control product and avoid non-conform product.

•

I carry out cast taking and checking on overlay (projector) before accepting any threaded connection.

•
