About
With a concentration of diaspora &
African literatures, my interests range
across disciplines including: poetry,
performance studies, contemporary art
and cultural theory.
Learning how to learn is the lesson
most valuable to teach. As an Egyptian
Muslim woman, student and an
instructor, my experiences have served
as cornerstones to my pedagogy. The
incredibly wide diversity California is
home to has exposed me to many
communities who continue to inspire
my pedagogy, as I work to empower
students and help create pathways to
higher education. In teaching, I
advocate for a lifelong learning and
mastering of language.
