My first position was in the cleaning area. duties included running plates through mixtures to be sure surfaces were clean before sputtering. I also did some wet etching. I later moved on to run the KDF 944 sputtering system. In between i did some inspection, packing of parts, shipping. While at Ultra source i took a short course in for vaccum systems and got my certificate QA Inspector/Process tech.

I started in the final Inspection dept. there i did several different types of inspection. we did process inspection as the work was being done. I also did testing of the diodes. I kept up with the calibration of all equipment in the building. I did incoming inspection of parts sent to us. Then i transferred in to the production dept. My duties were as follows mount silicon wafers on to glass, measure, and gring or lap to a desired thickness. then dismount. also some au plating. but mostly i ran the grinding machine. I did all aspects of inspection in the process lab. I also did bond pull testing,die shear, capping and lidding of final products. Was also trained to work in the kitting dept.preparing orders for the process lab. Also did inspection in the Incomming dept. and the final inspection of product before shipping. As a lead person I was responsible to see all work was done,corrective actions were handled properly. Logs were up to date and also some interaction with Source Inspectors.It was also my duty to interact with production supervisor and tech.
