Initiate and direct such remedial action necessary to eliminate occupational health risk or, if risk cannot be eliminated, to institute appropriate control measures to reduce exposures to as low as reasonably practicable;

Institute such practices at work, which will eliminate occupational exposure that may lead to acute or chronic ill health effects

Implement regulations and take due cognisance of references to schedules or standards, to be published under the Mine Health and Safety Act;

Analyse the requirements of the Act and Regulations and keep a document describing occupational hygiene practice at the mine, addressing all reasonably practicable means of control of occupational hygiene exposure.
