Responsibilities handled as Intern:

Taking detailed history of patients along with general and systemic examination.

Sending patients for appropriate investigations and checking the patients’ reports.

Diagnosing the disease on the basis of symptoms and signs along with investigations.

In case of emergency, performing Basic Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Performing basic procedures like Pleural and Peritoneal tapping, Chest tube Insertion, Nasogastric Intubation, Endotracheal Intubation, Urinary Catheterization, dressings, suturing etc.

Assisting in surgeries and performing minor surgeries under senior guidance (incision and drainage, ingrown nail removal, lipoma and ganglion excision, suturing techniques).

Periodically observing the patients’ improvement, making progress reports, discharges and planning follow up instructions after discharge.
