Project : D35 Front Cover Strength Analysis

Tool Used : HyperMesh & Abaqus

Description: The task was to perform Strength analysis of Front Cover. Components like Cam Cover, Cylinder Block, Crank Case, & Oil Pan are meshed in SIMLAB & HyperMesh using tetra- hedral elements. Quality criteria are maintained as per the customer guidelines. Assigning of Material Properties & Defining Contacts. Loads and BC’s were applied using HyperMesh

(Abaqus Profile) as per the M&M DVP. FE Model was solved using Abaqus, Results interpreta- tion and Report generation was done using HyperView. Project : D20 Input Shaft Assembly Stiffness Analysis Tool Used : HyperMesh & Abaqus

Description: The goal is to carryout Stiffness Analysis of the Input shaft which is generated us- ing second order tetrahedral elements. The complication was to create Concurrent mesh and Contacts between the components like Gears, Hubs and Sleeves. Also the element count should not exceed the customer specified limit. Loads and BC’s were applied and FE Model was solved using Abaqus, Result Interpretation and Report generation was done using HyperView. Project : FE Modeling of W108 Exhaust Assembly

Tools Used : HyperMesh (Nastran)

Description: The aim of the project is to create FE model of the Exhaust Assembly. All the com- ponents like Manifolds, Flanges, CatCon and Flex pipes are modeled with 2D and 3D elements

(Shell, Tetrahedral and Hex). All the connections were given using 1D beams, Rigids, linear 1D and Seam welds. Quality criteria are maintained as per the customer guidelines. The FE model is then carried out for modal Analysis, Results interpretation and Report generation was done using HyperView.

Project : FE Modeling of D20 Intake and Exhaust Assembly Tool Used : HyperMesh (Nastran)

Description: The task was to deliver the FE model for the intake and exhaust assembly. FE model is generated using 2D, 3D Elements. The connections are modeled using multi node Rigids, 1D beams, Linear 1D and seam welds. The FE model is then carried out for modal Analy- sis, Results interpretation and Report generation was done using HyperView. Project : Modal Analysis of TRX 1550 Boom Assembly Tool Used : HyperMesh & OptiStruct

Description: The task was to deliver the FE model of Boom assembly. FE model is generated by using shell Elements with CO2 Welds all the connections were modeled using mul- tinode rigids and 1D beams. The FE model is then used to carryout modal analysis in OptiStruct.

• Supervising a team of seven resources and reporting quality issues to the Production Department.

• Conducting Internal Audits to check for Compliances.

• Supervising various tests conducted in the Lab.
