Prepare procurement/purchase requisitions, contract scopes, bid evaluation and inspection of expensive/critical items. Prepare provisional and final acceptance certificates.

Support the testing and commissioning of new or modified equipment, systems, and projects.

Follow up and review contractors’ regular reports, assessing their performance and providing advice if necessary. Clears’ contactors invoices for payment.

Participates in the technical review of tender by different vendors.

Coordinates with vendor regarding third party inspection & certification of lifting equipment requirement & calibration of equipment by arranging the required passes /permits.

Provides essential mentoring, guidance and counseling to other subordinates with a clear objective of career development.

Assists in preparing training programs for Entry Point Employees undergoing on-the-job training by identifying specific training needs.

Liaise with various department/sections such as Inspection Section, Reliability Section, Process, Safety, Operations and Maintenance departments with respect to activities pertaining to Planning & Scheduling.

Actively participates in major shutdown scope finalization in coordination with Maintenance, Operation, Fire & Safety, Engineering and all other concerned personnel for interfacing assets, and issues them as required.

Provides inputs and participates in Maintenance budgeting activities and 5 Year Business Planning.

Follows up and monitors the KPI’s and KM's with Team Leaders being the main planning and centralized repository for the Maintenance Department and focusing on those Indicators which are lagging beyond targets.

Ensures that Asset list in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is up to date & preparation of different reports such as Critical Spares highlighting Statistical Summary for NIL stocks.

Discusses with Area Engineers regarding critical job activities ensuring that job plans are prepared covering critical tasks and requirements with proper craft estimates, material and equipment are reflected in CMMS.

Reviews existing Query programs, initiates amendment with HQ-IT (as appropriate), introduces new Query (as per requirement) and provides reports to Maintenance Sections for further analysis.

Follows up and coordinates for the submission of Project Reports and Maintenance Reports as needed in a timely and efficient manner.

Ensures that all activities for the Maintenance Department are carried out in line with Company Policies, Procedures and Guidelines.

Electrical Engineer (May 2013 – August 2016)

Directs and supervise the installation, maintenance, repair, trouble-shooting and modification activities carried out on a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment, pipelines instrument equipment, Solar Power Systems, pump stations, control panels, power distribution systems and associated switch gears.

Monitors work execution and provide guidance to ensure conformity to statutory and company regulations.

Deals personally with more complex maintenance and participate in shutdown and turnaround maintenance and planning activities.

Participates in the planning and implantation of all systems modifications, expansions and installations.

Directs and supervise the activities of assigned personnel in unit.

Preparing activity reports and recommends new technology to improve existing systems.

Solar Powered Electric Wheelchair

Petroleum Institute – Abu Dhabi, UAE (ELEG455 - Senior Design Project)

Collaboratively designed and build a solar powered electric wheelchair that utilizes clean renewable energy for the good of the disabled community.

Convert solar energy into electrical to recharge the batteries on the wheelchair as it is being used.

The wheelchair included 3 systems that work all together to achieve the goals of the design; the mechanical structure, the motion controller assembly and the multi-charger circuitry.

The mechanical structure holds and secures all components added to the regular wheelchair and it gives the solar panel its adjustable position on the wheelchair.

The motion controller assembly consists of a pair of DC motors (left wheel and right wheel) connected to a microcontroller board through several relays.

The solar charger consist of a smart controlled boost converter that step up the output of the solar panel by charging an inductor and then releasing its current into the batteries.

This design project is useful as it facilitates the use of solar power in other applications. Training & Qualifications:
