Vital to the successful completion of critical retest with limited time returning the ship to the condition for unrestricted operations and ensuring an on-time arrival on station ready to complete presidential tasking.
Lead a 10-man team in the completion of over 4000-man hours of maintenance in a 6-month period not including the repair of 38 critical system deficiencies found in personal audits of my program. Which resulted in me being awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal
After a failure of a critical system components coordinated through multiple different departments to make emergency repairs. Trained all 18 equipment operators about the new procedure I developed and approved through senior management and was able to maintain repairs that worked without fail until required parts arrived.
Discovered a deficiency as an experienced hydraulic plant technician and lead the charge of the isolation and rapid repair of a vital hydraulic system that would have caused a 3000 psi hydraulic rupture in a main passage way that would of resulted in a serious or fatal injury for anyone in vicinity.
Took charge as the system expert in combating a hydraulic rupture of a major hydraulic system and successfully aligned the secondary hydraulic system resulting in being able to successfully and safely surface the ship and conduct emergency repairs.
Hand selected for his expertise of the Emergency Diesel Generator to repair major damages to the Engine. Resulting in the replacement of all 72 main and connecting rod bearings, 2 cylinders jackets, 4 pistons, and the entire upper crankshaft.
Took charge as maintenance planner and project manger of a major program when it fell below standard. Rapidly restored the program to a level well above the expectations of any senior supervisor. The condition of the program and associated equipment became a key component of the company receiving a above average rating in multiple inspections resulting in the company being awarded the Navy Battle E Award for 2 years straight.
