Development Director at the James River Valley Library System
Raised $1,100,000 in funds for a new bookmobile and the renovation of 100-year-old Alfred Dickey Free Public Library.
Created a series of free Adult Program Classes ranging from gardening to funeral planning. These classes provided learning opportunities for adults seeking information on subjects important to them.
Marketing Director at Jamestown Hospital and Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Designed and implemented a public relations program demonstrating to internal staff and the community that the new hospital should be built on a green space on the edge of town.
Developed and implemented ground-breaking and opening ceremonies for JRMC that included local, state and national political support.
Established strong relationships with print and broadcast media, service clubs and other community groups within a nine-county area.
Developed marketing campaigns that resulted in a 10%-12% higher differential in patient visits for marketed departments over non-marketed departments.
Originated and developed a social media program reaching a local, national and international audience.

Artist-in-Residence in North Dakota, working with the Jamestown Arts Center, taught Creative Writing in the Jamestown school system, elementary, middle school, high school.
