Last Designation: Improvement Engineer – Tech Centre Job Responsibility: Supporting hydrocarbon envelopes (Mixed feed cracker, Aromatics plant and Steam and power generation unit, Incinerator and WasteWater Section) as a process engineer. Experience:

● Supporting technology implantation plans (TIPs) for projects, and in evaluating potential improvement opportunities and studies and creating the capex budget plan for the unit. o Develop the scope of the new improvement projects and its feasibility study along with technology licensor communication.

o Finalizing the scope of the improvement projects (basis of design) along with preparation of preliminary PFD & P&ID, HMB, simulation model, control strategy, major equipment list, piping list, valve list, material selection etc.

o Leading process design and preparation of complete package for the project for purchasing and execution

o Maintain and develop process simulation (ASPEN Model) and hydraulic models, material and energy balances, PFDs P&IDs, and equipment performance specifications (including relief rates, thermal rating etc.).

o Designing/Review of PSVs along with the scenario as per the API standards applicable. o Preparation of initial process datasheet of equipment, control valve, RO, instrument etc. as per API, ASME and pump standard

Experience: Experience in commissioning and operation of normal distillation column, extractive distillation column, stripper, screw compressor, reciprocating compressor, centrifugal compressor, diaphragm compressor, various types of pumps, heat exchangers, process fixed bed reactor, Biological reactor operation, furnace, vacuum system, refrigeration system, cooling tower, DM Plant, water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant, RO plant, Tanks, spheres, bullets, bagging machine etc.

Experience during NCU Plant operation:

● Working as a deputy team leader for the operation of Naphtha Cracker Unit. o Responsible for meeting the production target with respect to quality, quantity, and demand. o Responsible for department budgeting and expenditure. o Developing safety & quality culture inside the group. o Material balance on a daily, monthly and yearly basis. Monitoring plant performance analysis. o Process calculation for the performance monitoring and simulation for process equipment for optimization.

o Troubleshooting for achieving designs energy consumption & the yield improvement thru simulation. o Various plant modification related jobs, like PFD/P & ID updation, chemical calculation, HAZOP analysis etc.

o Monitoring & compliance of the various statutory testing & records and their associated planning. o Preparing the yearly production budget for the production in line with the complex budget covering energy requirement, chemicals & catalyst requirement, and the consumable requirements at the beginning of the year. Budget preparation for revenue, overhead and the Capital Expenditure Budget for Naphtha Cracker Unit.

● Working as Shift In-Charge for day to day operation. o Working as a team leader in the shift for all the activity occurring. Adjusting plant load as per the production plan, De-coke planning for heaters, Regeneration of the catalyst bed etc. o Safe shutdown and startup of the equipment and entire plant for any emergency and turnarrowand o Manpower planning in shift and arrange leave and overtime(if required) o Monitoring for chemical injection including stock and inventory o Maintenance planning and issue permit for regular preventative maintenance and unplanned maintenance
