Job responsibilities:

• Basic and Detail Engineering for Instrumentation such as preparation of Concept Note, Control System Architecture, Tender Document with detail Erection and supply Bill of Material (BOM)

• Preparation of instrument index and instrument I/O list with alarm and trip points

• Preparation of Cable Schedule, Remote Input-Output Schedule and Junction Box Schedule

• Locating and positioning DCS / PLC Panel, Air Header, Junction Box, Remote I/O Cabinet in Layout

• Preparation of Cable Tray Routing and doing coordination with other disciples to avoid clashes.

• Preparation of control room layout by position Engineering Work Station, Operating Station, Historian Station, Control Panel etc.

• Preparation of datasheets for instruments and process automation based on the process parameters and client requirement.

• Preparation of Technical Bid Analysis and Commercial Bid Analysis (CBA) on vendor’s proposal for PLC / DCS system and for various field instruments like Transmitters and Gauges.

• Reviewing and approval of vendor drawings for DCS / PLC panels, other Control Panels, Junction Boxes, Air Headers and various field instruments.

• Perform inter - discipline squad checks (esp. piping, model, mechanical equipment and buildings, Electrical Cable Tray, HVAC documents etc.)

• Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) of PLC / DCS panel.

• Preparation of I/O list by checking Air Flow Diagram.

• Attending commercial meeting with client and vendor/ contractor for selection of apt Vendor/ Contractor.

• Provide support to the site supervisor / contractor for implementation and execution of instrument system.

• Design and development of control systems and interlocks to suit different kinds of process demands.
