Prototype Model Maker Jul 2012 - Jun 2020

Accountabilities included collaborating with Product Engineers to assist and advise on materials and processes to create new products.

Took CAD models to completion and fabricated them using all available shop equipment. Inspected completed models dimensionally for accuracy. Followed through with engineer through testing process, making suggestions for next revision. Ordered needed materials, tooling, and consumables.

Chosen by management for wire EDM training on a new equipment. Completed training and taught learned skills to remaining Model Makers.

Utilized collaboration, research, and drawing on knowledge from past experiences to successfully plan when challenges of not knowing how to fabricate a complicated model arose.

Completed learning all aspects of 3D printer, including software, setup, operation, maintenance, and material and parts replacement.

Learned setup and operation of new CNC press brake and trained coworkers on machine use.

Successfully supported the Quality Lab in designing, creating, and installing fixtures for numerous cycle testing equipment, modifying, and rebuilding as needs changed.

Programmer/Shop Manager May 2011 - Jul 2012

Used Surfcam, program 3 axis mill to create thermoplastic molds. Taught Machine Shop employees how to set up, operate, and inspect parts from mill.

Designed and assisted with building of large vacuum thermoplastic trimming fixtures made of wood, foam, and rubber components. Advised all employees on thermoplastic processes and performed troubleshooting on any issues with process and machinery.

Programmer/Shop Manager - continued

Mentored and supervised the Machine Shop learner. Responsible for troubleshooting and advising approximately 20, 1st and 2nd shift employees in thermoplastic process.

Completed Surfcam 5 axis training, worked with maintenance department to get the machine running, programmed, set up, and taught operators how to produce parts.

Through personal initiative became proficient and was given a leadership role handling thermoplastic processes.

Prior Relevant Experience
