Job Responsibilities: verification that A/R and many liability accounts for the Tribe had been completed accurately. Handled correspondence with IRS on tax issues. Responsible for Credit and Collection including NSF. Compiled portions of Tribal Treasurer’s Report. Team Leader in setting up Standard Operating Procedures for Credit and Collection, and flow of tax forms. Trained facilitator. Provided assistance to Tribal Area Managers. Trained and tested new Financial Accounting Systems/FAS for use in the Loan Department. Compiled, computed, and submitted Indirect Cost Proposal. Worked with fixed assets.

Job Responsibilities: Accountant for Education (other than Tribal School), and Recreation areas. Duties included but are not limited to: Financial Statements to funding source, A/R Obligations, General Ledger entries, verification of Revenue and Expense reports, worked as a co-team leader of program area system upgrades which included testing and verification that the updates were working correctly. All else requested by my supervisor. Trained new Program Accountants in their positions.

Job Responsibilities: Verified accounting work that was received from Casino Accounting. Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts, General Ledger entries, month end and year end close. Assisted Brenda Downs, in many of her assigned duties. Supervised 5 Account Clerks. Was the Accountant over Slots, Bingo Kitchen, Internal Security, Promotions, and other Business Units. In these areas was responsible for inventory, monthly entries, and counts at year end for audit purposes. This also included any adjusting entries that needed to be completed. When Supervisor (Brenda) was out ill, took on the responsibility of monthly close and verification of Income Statements. Would take on any extra work Supervisor needed to get done.
