DevOps Engineer Great HealthWorks - Davie, FL 08/2020 - Current
Building highly scalable, highly available and highly reliable infrastructure on top of AWS for different clients working with multiple platforms by creating all infrastructure in a program driven fashion using infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
Assisted in migrating a client's services to cloud environment by deploying the client's web service in an AWS EKS cluster with a modern load balancing ingress controller Nginx. Utilized AWS spot instances to make it cost effective and created the infrastructure as code and provisioned it from scratch using Terraform and configured the web service with Ansible.
Currently developing a Canary release strategy for a client using Helm, Istio and Kubernetes with an objective to setup release pipeline for a canary/phased rollout of an application's micro services. Designing and creating a steady state deployment where network traffic gets routed to pods based on the release percentage of the micro services without affecting the whole application's web service.
