Collaborative Online Code Judgement System

Web Development Jan. 2019 - Feb. 2019

Developed a web-based collaborative code editor with Angular 6, Node.js, MongoDB, Redis, and Docker Container, which supports multiple user editing simultaneously.

Created front-end part with Angular6, and used Karma and Jasmine for testing.

Built a backend RESTful server-side in JavaScript with Node.js, interacted with Express.js, MongoDB and Redis, and implemented multi-user synchronization by socket.io.

Built user-code executor service using Docker and Flask that can build and execute user’s code.

Improved system throughput by decoupling services using RESTful API and loading balancing by Nginx.

Online Social Network App

Web Development Apr. 2020

Developed a online social network application using React, Redux, Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB along with ES6+, which allows users to post, comment, search all posts, and also update their pro les.

Constructed front-end part with JavaScript, React and Redux, and styled websites by CSS and Bootstrap.

Implemented a backend RESTful server in JavaScript with Node.js, along with Express.js as framework and MongoDB as database.

Deployed the web server with Heroku and MongoDB Atlas.

Yelp Review Rating Prediction

Natural Language Processing, ML Dec. 2019

Preprocessed data by removing punctuation marks, stopwords except for negation words, and implemented word tokenization, lowercase, stemming and word lemmatization in Python with NLTK.

Imported scikit-learn to use tf-idf to vectorize data to get the word frequencies.

Implemented Light Gradient Boosting Machine and Random Forest model for rating(1 to 5 stars) classi cation and achieved 61% accuracy as the management for experiment.

Gait Recognition Based on Improved 3D CNN Model

Applied Gabor Filter, Optical Flow and Grayscale to perform feature extraction for better image perception.

Adopted a 3D convolutional neural network with changing of structure and parameters to obtain a stronger expression for gait silhouette sequences and achieved 71% average accuracy for identifying pedestrians.
