This project was to create a healthcare program for active duty and retired Service personnel and their eligible family members and survivors that combines both military and civilian services.

Software Environment: STRUTS, J2EE, Jdeveloper, Oracle 9i version 9.0.3, OC4j, Apache, Hibernate, AXIS, SOAP, Java, Windows 2000 server.

Task: Responsible for designing and implementing EWRAS report subsystem into the current web application by J2EE technology using MVC design pattern. Presentation layer was built by JSP. Business layer was built by Jakarta-Struts framework which controls request and response, connects to Oracle database by JDBC using DAO design pattern. The whole application was built using the J2EE model and running on Oracle 9iAS Application Server connected with Oracle 9i database server by Hibernate mapping tool. Fixed bugs and implemented 508 compliant for all report JSP page. Create the Software Design Document.

This project was to develop a performance monitoring system with a focus on CHCS performance, collect data and provide a full featured statistical reporting function.

Software Environment: Struts, J2EE, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, SQL server 2000, Java. VBA, Excel, Access, VB 6.0, Windows 2000 server.

Tasks: Provided maintenance support and enhancements including bug fixing and modifications of existing web pages.

Project: NAVY HIV

Customer: DoD

This project was to modify and expend the existing HIV system and build an interface between the multiple CHCSs and a central HIV lab test facility.

Software Environment: MS C++ 6.0, .NET, SQL Server 2000, MSMQ, Windows 2000 Server.

Task: Sole developer for the full lifecycle of this project (Architecture, design, develop, unit and integration test). Built interfacing solution between CHCS (multiple), NAVY (multiple hospitals) and Lab (multiple) using HL7 message to send order and receive result back in C++ utilizing Microsoft Message Queues as a workflow processing system. The system also made use of interfacing technologies including TCP/IP and File Transfer Protocols. The project was successfully delivered on time within budget and is currently running at the Naval Medical Center.

Project: VFO (Virtual Front Office)

Customer: Telcordia/Sprint

The project was to provide full function order entry system for telecommunication companies to enter services requests.

Software Environment: Jbuilder and PowerJ Java.

Task: Developed a JAVA-based GUI layer (tier 1) of a classical 3-tier application to provide order entry functionality. The JAVA GUI was then ported to be applet based so that the system could be accessed via web browser.

Project: HIV Phases 1 & 2

Customer: DoD

A ground up development project to build a new interface that would send and receive orders between CHCS and an external laboratory system using HL7 messaging.

Software Environment: VB 5.0 MS C++ 5.0.

Task: Acted as technical lead in designing, developing, and testing. Developed a Windows NT service that provided socket based interfacing solution to transfer orders and results. The management GUI was built with MS VB and the Service was written in MS Visual C++ 5.0.
