Responsibility

Ensures adherence to all safety processes and procedures, and that they are implemented in a cost effective manner

Coordinates with Engineers and site personnel to develop and institute control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment or activity, as per hazard analysis and risk assessment procedures

Check that all agreed safety standards and applicable rules, regulations and international standards are followed

Monitors projects for compliance of safety requirements as per agreed safety plan and safety implementation program, under the guidance of the senior safety officer

Organizes and conducts safety meetings and communicates all concerns and resolves all issues arising from the meeting.

Inspects workplace environment, equipment, and practices in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations

Conducts investigation of incidents and dangerous occurrences to identify causes and to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future

Investigates health – related complains, and inspection of facilities to ensure that they comply with public health legislation and regulations.

Maintains regular and effective communication with all levels of management and the health and safety authorities.

Performs regular inspections of Subcontractors, to confirm compliance with the Project Management system.

Ensures that a system to record and monitor potentially hazardous substances brought to site is in place.

Conduct in house training and safety talks to employees

Submit safety reports as per company and customer requirements to senior officer

Ensure that all unsafe condition/unsafe act, accident/near misses are reported to HSE department and the corrective actions implemented. REFERENCE- Will be furnished upon request
