Personal philosophy of education
It is my firm belief that the basis of any civilized society is a well-educated population. History has shown us repeatedly that the typical way one group of people can subjugate or enslave another is to limit their access to education. With this in mind, I feel that the most important and noble undertaking a person can have is the education of the young people in our society. Accordingly, I take the responsibility of this job very seriously.
With every passing year, our world becomes more scientifically and technologically oriented. This is why I chose the field of science to study and now to teach. I do not feel that other subjects should be short-changed, however. Indeed, I feel that in order to be prepared to meet the challenges in the modern world a person should have as well-rounded an education as possible.
As a teacher, I work very hard at recognizing the individuality of each student. I welcome and appreciate both their diversity and similarities. I want to be an integral part of their present and their future - assisting them in acquiring the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful in their lives.
