Originated 12+ processes with sales and operations planning (S&OP) protocols to efficiently manage inventory. Affected monthly reforecasting, item ranking, min/max updating, exception reporting, analyzing disposition, etc. Collaborated with IT to develop internal forecasting tool; applied adaptive exponential smoothing; replaced JDA software.
Led special project with colleagues from distribution center (DC) operations, item management, and transportation to regulate inventory transportation costs. Lessened travel by 45.6% (423K miles), saved ~$1M, and increased trip benefits.
Heightened efficiency in new DC with design to optimize pallet positions. Calculated slotting location logic using item stratification; minimized travel distance; and diminished errors. Designed suite of actionable reporting to pinpoint stagnant inventory; shrank inventory by $19M. Partnered across functions to visualize attrition model for high-risk patients (87% accuracy). Client reacted to retain patients and maximize growth.
Studied opportunities to lower walkaway and out of stock by adjusting ordering schedule and quantities. Furnished stores with statistically recommended order quantities and monitored sales to track store performance.
