● Ownership of a supply base quality: 30-60 Suppliers – castings and fabrications for track type tractors (TTT).

● Work along with Category PCE's and Suppliers to provide a sustainable level of Quality to Track-Type Tractors for root cause analysis through Corrective Action Report (CAR, 5 why analysis, 8D).

Project Lead – Supplier Quality projects for Castings / Fabs

● D9 saddle (Casting) non-clean up issue - Collaborating with internal quality team for quick sort and containment (generated inspection idea) for supplying confirmed parts to the production.

● Worked with supplier for finding the root cause as warping during heat treatment at supplier’s process and changing tie-bar removal process (no extra cost added) ahead of heat treatment to avoid the warp-in and made sure the inventory is flowing.

● D11 castings sand rework time/cost reduction - Facility faced a lot of rework time/cost ($600 per tractor) due sand in castings after machining. Rework time/cost data analysis were part of this project.

● Improved the castings quality with extra process (supplier’s) costing (200$ per tractor) and reduced rework by at least 60%.

● D6 Roller Bracket crack issue (project associate) - Led the cross-functional team (DE/ME/SDE) along with the supplier to work collaboratively on sort & containment, print requirements, supplier’s process improvement, PPAP & APQP.

● Recommended rework and recovery plan from this overseas supplier to maintain the supply/demand and to maintain the customer-supplier commercial business relationship.

● Oil Drain Plug air leak failure - Worked with External vendor and supplier with a rework plan (extra weld pass) to sustain the supply level for production, recovering the productivity loss within two days.

● Reviewed PPAP and APQP activities done on the part and added air leak test for this failure at supplier’s process and updated the same on their Process-FMEA and in the print. Process Owner - Business Process Improvement (BPI) for Fabs

● Assigned as BPI owner for supplier (fabrications) to improve and sustain the quality level of supply.

● Packaging performance test - Gathered data of all the various tests (burst, pull test, peel-off, seal strength) performed to validate the packaging.
