Duties & Responsibilities

Income inspection

Verify receipt & content of a Supplier Certificate of Conformance Verify each part is visually acceptable.

Verify receipt of a Material Test Report.

Verify item on Certificate of Conformance to Receiving Report and verify item quantity is correctly identified & traceable to the manufacturer's lot or batch number

Ensuring dimensions and conduct visual inspection at various stages like raw material, preparation, fit up and final as per respective standards and isometric drawings Inspecting and ensuring the stage wise quality inspection as per inspection test plan Supplier Quality

Supplier Assessment.

Communication with suppliers for development & implementation of quality management systems at their end.

Monitor the performance of suppliers in terms of rejections & defects & evolve an action plan for improvements along with materials & supplier. Monitor the effectiveness of inspection and audits done at supplier's (Site). Process Quality

Monitoring and Ensuring Process Quality and Tests. Monitor the performance of plants in terms of rejections & defects at the shop floor product wise for plant & evolve an action plan for improvements along with respective Engineers/Managers.

Initiate & implement actions for measuring, monitoring & improving process capability. Training and guiding teams on towards identifying factors critical to quality, reducing process variation, improving capabilities & increasing stability. Customer interface and monitoring & analyzing customer feedback for both internal & external customers & initiate counter measures for improvements. Monitor the effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions taken. Customer Quality

Monitor Quality concerns at Customer end.

Handling Customer Complaints and Implement corrective & preventive actions to reduce customer PPM through 7 QC Tools and 8D.

Lab Testing, Standard Room & Calibration

Records of All Gauges, Testing Equipments and Instruments. Preparation of calibration plan, maintaining records of calibration of Testing Equipments, Precision instruments & gauges.

History maintenance.
