Plant Manager

Managed a multiple line manufacturing facility in the production of Garage Doors in a union environment. Manage 72 hourly and 12 Salary employees. Currently going through culture change in plant in training of 5S and Lean Principles. I have improved the plant through put in the 3 months I’ve been here to include level loading the production schedule and employee hours.

Managed multiple product line boat manufacturer. Taught and implemented 5S process for the plant. Improved Safety for the plant to take plant to 1 year without any lost time, first aid or recordable injuries. Set up Cap-Ex projects and set up ROI on the projects. Launched Tier 1 Supplier plant for GM. Operations Manager for the Weld Dept. in the manufacturing of underbody automotive parts. Directed daily schedule through use of JRP through Plex. Managed ramp up of new process with 35 weld cells and 350 personnel. Set up standard work for robotic cells and process flow. Worked directly with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, and Contractors. Managed direct salary supervisors, wage roll employees, and contract employees. Ensured that all deliverables were met to achieve customer satisfaction. Implemented lean manufacturing principles to include 5S, 5 why, JIT and visual factory.
