Worked in a soft capsule manufacturing industry located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. as an intern. I learned the importance of GMP and the regulations that keeps the work and ethics flowing without any hindrance. I also had the opportunity to view and analyze making of capsules from scratch to its final product in shapes like Oblong, Oval, Round, Suppository, Tube and review encapsulation of drug into the capsules.

During my training, I was given the task of carrying out the encapsulation process and report weight variation of capsules by the production team. I also covered other areas like monitoring defects of capsules, blister and bottled packaging of capsules and dispensing of raw materials along with the light sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients. long with the insight of SOPs and FDA guidelines, the quality control department also gave me a chance to perform tests like dissolution and disintegration of capsules and enlightened me with accelerated stability testing and stability testing environment and storage and its necessity in the pharmaceutical industry.
