1. I was the focal person of the City project implementation team of the HIV and PTB Screening of the KVP Project which is under the Tanzania Health Promotion Support (funded by the Global Fund) and as part of my duties:

2. Plan and implement all of the mental health activities in the Arusha City Council. This includes participating in the preparation of the Mental Health Services budgets for the City Council as well as the corresponding annual work plans.

3. Coordinating the management of clients found with disorders, making sure that they get treated within the City where possible and referring those with critical condition to the higher mental institutions as well as the rehabilitation centers for those in need of recovery. 4. As preventive measures, I coordinate the advocacy of mental health to youth and the society in general by making sure that they get education on mental health especially the effects of drug use and how to avoid it through outreaches organized by the city. 5. I worked with KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation on screening of TB on People with Inject Drug use where together with the City TB and Leprosy Coordinator with the help of peer educators (who are the Ex-drug users) reach the clients for identification and screening. 6. I worked along with the Local, National and International NGOs as well as the national programs relating to mental health in the Arusha City.
