• Project worked on: Competitive Technology Analysis

• Completed a Literature Survey on the topic: Competitive Technology Analysis. The scope of the project was to compare six leading technologies for the production of liquid biofuels with the base case of combustion.

B.E Project: Optimization of Electrolysis for the Degradation of Textile Dye

• This work was focused on removal of synthetic dye from water by the process of electrolysis using CI Reactive Blue 171 as the dye.

• In this study central composite design was proven to be a suitable response to determine the effect of operative variables (pH, concentration and reaction time) and their interaction on the electro- oxidation of CI Reactive Blue.

• The results indicated that the degree of color removal was obviously affected by pH. Electrolytic concentration also plays an important role while effects were also significant on COD.

• The maximum color and COD removal were achieved and was found to be 70-99% based on the results of the oxidation process; decomposition of the dye was confirmed by UV spectra. Calibration was performed both before and after electrolysis to confirm color removal. SKILLS
