I was on call for the entirety of this rotation and assisted in emergent procedures including several exploratory laparotomies, colectomies with primary anastomosis, endoscopies, thoracentesis, and bowel decompressions
Reviewed labs, vitals, medications, and nursing notes on post-operative patients in the morning before surgical cases began each day
Performed minor procedures in-office such as cyst removals, lipoma removals, and incision & drainage of abscesses
Participated in surgical consults and post-operative follow ups in the clinic
