Manufacturing Process Associate, Honda of America Manufacturing, Marysville July 2020 – Present

• Documented defects and material supply information on daily production and held team meetings with associates regarding quality control and improvement by implementation of 5S, Monozukuri

• Established performance standards and developed tests to ensure solution meets the functional design criteria on Engine and Floor Harness Installation, Side Curtain Air Bag (SCAB) and SRS Installation on HONDA CRV, ACURA MDX and RDX models Graduate Teaching Assistant, Purdue School of Engineering and Technology, Indianapolis Aug 2019 – Dec 2019

• Taught 42 undergraduate students CREO Parametric 4.0, orCAD Pspice Circuit Simulator and 3D Printing Foundations

• Prepared lesson materials, books, and worksheets. Successfully proctored examinations and graded assignments/papers

• 3D printed the projects of 42 groups using MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D printer. Performed testing and evaluation of results Research Engineer, Advanced Composite Structure Engineering Laboratory, Indianapolis Aug 2018 – Jul 2019 The project focused on the design, development, and manufacturing of IndyCar Rear Attenuator for an oblique impact with a wall.

• Investigated the rear crash attenuator for various test cases of head-on impact to improve carbon fiber honeycomb sandwich structure using simulations. Successfully improved hand layup process which resulted in a 12.8% reduction in structural weight

• Designed and developed the rear crash attenuator prototype structure with 47.6% improved crash energy absorption

• Analyzed various static and dynamic load cases using ANSYS ACP to understand the effect of wing mountings, fixtures, and car jacks on the rear attenuator

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

System Driven Product Development of Electric Skateboard, Platforms: NX, CAMEO, STAR-CCM+, TEAMCENTER Aug 2018 – Dec 2018

• Designed the skateboard model using Siemens NX, the system model using CAMEO and performed 1D simulation using AMESIM

• Performed structural Analysis using STAR-CCM+ and optimized the design using HEEDS

• Simulated and optimized logistic system and process using Tecnomatix @ Plant Simulation

• Used Teamcenter to combine the above tools to automate design changes, optimization, and validation to speed cycle time and improve product quality

Design and 3D Printing of a Platform Jack, Platforms: Autodesk Inventor, FDM, SLA Jan 2018 – May 2018

• Designed and assembled parts of fully functional platform jack using Autodesk Inventor

• Assembled Afnibot A5 3D Printer and calibrated it to get precise 3D prints

• Successfully sliced the part files on Ultimaker Cura Software, 3D printed on Stratasys uPrint Se+ 3D printer and finally assembled Design and Analysis of Shock Absorber, Platforms: SOLIDWORKS, ANSYS Aug 2017 – Dec 2017

• Designed the Motorcycle Shock Absorber using SOLIDWORKS and performed Structural and Modal Analysis using ANSYS

• Analyzed the stress values and respective yield stress values on two different materials (high carbon and steel spring) of spring

• Compared results and concluded that high carbon steel was more suitable due to low stiffness and high natural frequency
