Responsibilities.

Review contract scope of work, specifications & procedures

Vendor / sub-contractor document review for compliance to project requirements.

Review and approve sub-contractors project specification, ITP, NDE procedures and other related documents

Co-coordinating with client, third party and vendor for inspection activities.

Conducting Pre-Inspection meeting with vendor and client.

Resolving vendor issues and issuing NCR for non-compliance.

Conducting tool box talks on quality and safety matters with sub-contractors.

Carrying out inspection jointly with client/ third party consultants.

Preparing welding procedure specification based on ASME, AWS, and BS EN ISO Standards for the processes SMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW, and GMAW.

Qualifying welders as per ASME, AWS, and BS EN standards.

Fit up inspection of joints as per Drawing and ensuring surface condition for welding.

Monitoring Heat input for LTCS welding and welding parameters before, during welding like climatic condition, preheat, inter pass temperatures, voltage, ampere, travel speed, gas flow rate, wire feed speed etc.

Ensuring oxygen level on SS welding with O2 analyzer.

Root and complete weld visual inspection.

Ensuring space clearance for welding.

Consumable control by issue and return ticket.

Inspection of drying, backing, holding and portable oven temperature.

Verifying calibration certificates for welding machine, portable ovens.

Preparation of daily welding inspection reports.

Daily toolbox meeting with welding supervisor, welding foreman and welders.

Daily weld audit for verify welding parameters as per approved WPS.

Ensuring welders are qualified as per approved WPS.
