Project: EDDM (Energy and Data Distribution Module Role: Software Development

Energy management in the vehicles of the future will be largely determined by the way driver assistance systems are being enhanced to enable full autonomy. Already, a Stage 3 automation level allows drivers to temporarily turn their attention to tasks other than driving. This means that enough energy must be continuously available to ensure the safety of the vehicle, for example: energy available to steer the vehicle to the hard shoulder and bringing it to a halt in case of unexpected events. Since designing full redundancy into the power supply is not advisable in terms of cost or weight. So, we have developed an approach that achieves redundancy in the power subsystem by interconnecting two on-board networks. A partial set of sensors and actuators are connected to the 12 Volt on-board power supply, while the rest are dependent on a 12 Volt “back-up” on-board power supply. These two parts of the wiring harness are interconnected using an electronic power distribution switch

(iPDS, intelligent Power Distribution Switch).

This project consist of two different parts combined together as a module. Energy & Data solution for Zone architecture

Integration of gateway functionality to an intelligent power distribution module. Testing of Prototype.

Testing of interfacing of SW and HW (undergoing).

Next Generation Requirements are on going

Project: Modelling and Optimization of Solid State Bipolar Marx Generator with Effect of Parasitic Capacitance.

Role: Programing and simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK tool. Three stage Marx Generator was build.

There was interference of parasitic capacitance, due to electronic components and ground. To remove these capacitance optimization method is applied. The optimization method used is Quasi Newton Raphson method. Marx circuit is designed and cut-set matrix is applied on the circuit (mathematical modelling).

C programming in MATLAB is done to find out the value of capacitance and the voltage.

Marx Generator circuit is implemented and simulated in MATLAB. Project: Solid state unipolar Marx Generator using DSP and MATLAB. Role: MATLAB DSP Programming and DSP interfacing using MATLAB Marx Generator circuit using IGBT switch is being developed. Each stage is consist of a capacitor, a diode and two IGBT switches.

The control pulses to the switches are generated through a DSP microcontroller TM320F28069 USB PICCOLO control stick.

Design and hardware implementation is done.

Comparative study is done between hardware and simulation. Project: Works on PV panel model using boost converter to check the Output on MATLAB/SIMULINK

Role: Simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK tool.

Boost converter is designed. It is taken specially to boost up the output voltage. I-V and P-V characteristics check into the MATLAB tool. Design and final results of PV model is done in MATLAB. Career Timeline
