I am also available for full time temporary in other, as well as remote locations.
Please consider that I have been hired by several engineering, inspection or construction firms over the last several years that were only short-term positions to fill slots as needed. I have not included those on my resume as to not show the appearance of short-term employment. Most of which I was a 1099 subcontractor. I have the experience & knowledge. Thruout 2020 our personnel have remained COVID free . I have not had a lost time accident under my watch in over 4 yrs.
I have over 40 years’ experience in heavy civil & large Federal Projects.
I was employed by various private contractors as a civilian attached to military units at the end & post-Vietnam.
Peace time I was working in & around COE mostly at Ft Huachuca
Was very active in the Salt II Treaty projects in S. AZ
Very active during BRAC at Ft. Huachuca & Davis Monthan AFB.
I have over 30 years’ experience in managing, supervising or as a Quality Assurance officer on projects ranging up to 18M
My father was a contractor & I learned the business first hand. I have done numerous projects myself as a General or subcontractor.
Most of my experience however was in & around large Military & Government projects from 1980- 2000. There I worked on both sides either as QA to the Corps of Engineers or various positions for The GC’s on Federal Projects
The Corp requires that its QA officers achieve certifications for any trade that the officer is overseeing. I was at GS13 pay scale when I left.
I was certified to inspect in all 12 divisions both by the COE & by FHA/VA (Strong in Concrete, Structural, Earthwork, Civil & Building Construction))
I was Certified as an QA officer for asbestos & lead abatement
I also had certs for inspections of Civil, Road,Bridge & Dam projects, Waste Water Collection & Plants & Potable Water Distribution Systems & Water Plants.
I had an OSHA 300 Cert & have served as a Safety Officer in conjunction with my regular duties
I have had security clearances at several high security facilities
I am proficient in computer skills, Excel, Word, etc. & CPM scheduling. I am able to work from my home office as needed for telecommute duties.
These skills & experience made me a valuable asset to general contractors on COE Projects during the same period & was hired on several projects as by one or more as an Consultant, Liaison, Project Manager, Site Engineer or Superintendent for GC’s such as Hughes, Brown & Root, Hensel Phelps, Clearwater, MM Sundt, SBI, Larson, & Diversified to name a few.
I have been contracted by Bonding Companies when a Contractor had defaulted on Government Projects. I have worked as a Contract Mediator. I have been contracted by both the USACOE & Private general Contractors to investigate, document, & write plans to resolve contract disputes or liquidated damages.
I have done a lot of Bidding & Cost analysis on numerous projects, Project design & conception, Submittal reviews, CPM Scheduling, Investigations, Wrote & Help drafted numerous Impact studies, Safety Plans, Project Specifications Manuals, Submittals, Etc.
