ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership, manage and co-ordinate to sub-ordinates of WELDING INSPECTION, NDE INSPECTION

Identification of welding defects during visual inspection and scrutinizing the reasons for their occurrence and accepted according to approved specifications and code requirements

Visual inspection and dimensional checking of completed weld ments against specification requirements, drawings and acceptance of defects in relation to written specification requirements

Verification of Pre-heating, post heating, post weld heat treatment (PWHT) are in accordance with the specific procedures

Witnessing welder performance qualification test and witnessing the preparation of test pieces, destructive test and verifying compliance with appropriate standards and specifications

Witnessing Hardness test, hydro test as per specific written procedures and requirements

Acting as a inspection engineer in pipe fabrication shop

Knowledge of various codes and standards like ASME, ASTM, ANSI & IBR etc

Monitoring of various welding processes like SMAW, SAW, GTAW, and FCAW & GMAW choosing of correct WPS as per the requirements

Stage wise fabrication and inspection of piping material i.e. CS, Low Alloy steel, Stainless steel as per ASME B31.3 &ASME B 31.1

Inspections are carried out at each stage like fit up, welding and weld visual

Monitoring of welding consumables storage, handling, backing and holding requirement as per Customer & manufacturer requirements.

Witnessing welder qualification, procedure qualification & preparation of welder certificates

Inspecting and checking of preheating, interpass temperature, Post heating & stress reliving treatment by PWHT charts and taking corrective action

Knowledge in inspection of raw material like pipes & fittings for CS, SS & AS as per ASTM code

Manufacturing of tubes &pipes quality methods as per code ASTM A450& ASTM A530

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Passed B.E in Mechanical Engineering with 6.9 CGPA from Erode Sengunthar Engineering colleges in 2018.

Passed Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 87% from Nandha Polytecnic College, Erode in 2015.

Passed S.S.L.C with 83.% of S.B.K Hr. Sec., School in 1997.
