Duties and Responsibilities

To prepare QAP and following of all Inspection Test Plans, Quality Control Procedures, Welding Procedures, painting & packing procedure etc.

To prepare & perform Weld Map, NDT Map, JHS, AWPS, PQR, WPS etc.

To ensure and witnessing inspection of all fabrication activities according to ITP, SIP, SQP and CQP etc.

Monitoring all the Welding, Fabrication related activities as per client approved Inspection & Test plans and Quality Control procedures.

Inspection of incoming materials and reviewing of test certificates as per codes and conduct all stages of inspection like dimensional inspection, welding inspection, final & visual inspection as per isometric and orthographic drawing.

Responsible for carry out inspection & expediting all QC activities and ensure the continuous improvement in QC strictly exercised.

Familiar with welding inspections that is before, during & after welding.

Monitoring pre-heating & PWHT requirements as per standard procedures and Forwarding HT movement sheet to furnace for SR and verification of heat chart.

Ensure & Perform the Qualification of Welder and WQT as per the client requirement.

Witnessing and reviewing of UT, PT, MPI & RT films accordance with ASME -Sec V and reviewing of all NDT test reports.

Witnessing of Hydro testing for pressure parts and tubular products. Especially Sponge test and ball test on tubular products.

To conduct final painting inspection, shot blasting and packing Inspection and Checking of surface profile and painting DFT.

Preparation of different types of documentation & inspection Formats like History Card, Hydro Report, NDT Reports, Heat Treatment Report, Check List, CHP, PMI, COC, Hardness report, NCR and DCN etc.

To ensure surface & inside cleaning before painting as well as shot blasting and painting.

Participation of pre-inspection meetings with client & vendors and formulating the ways of inspection as per the approved inspection test plan.

To liaison with Consultant/Clients/TPI agencies and arrange for inspection wherever necessary and obtain their inspection clearance.

To attend project review meeting and discuss about the issues and find the possible solution.

To bring the discrepancies/Non conformation to QC head for necessary action and follow & obtain necessary remedy action for the same and ensure things are implemented.

Co-ordinate with MR and QC head during internal and external audits.

Responsible for calibration of tools and measuring instruments as well as maintain all the calibration certificates.
