Program Manager for a global document management system conversion, migrating 38 separate applications and databases into a single global validated system to be used by all Pfizer business lines for drug research, development and submission.

Initial role was as Program Planner to develop a PMO, program plan, schedule and procedures to bring program from multiple work streams that were in analysis, into an integrated, validated build and deployment process. Responsible for consolidation of multiple operating work streams and 50+ projects into a single coordinated program, including development and implementation of standardized program procedures for PMO, project management, resource management, communications, collaboration. Development of operational documentation, technical and application disaster recovery plans. Worked with multiple work stream project teams that were virtual and global in nature, to explain and implement standardized procedures. Interface program goals and needs with company policies and procedures and working with Pfizer IT Support departments.

Responsible for designing, implementing and executing a deployment strategy that would be a repeatable process used for each of the 38 system migrations, with internal and external dependencies, maintaining quality and ensuring compliance and validation requirements were met. Execution of initial deployments in pilot mode, refinement of process and incorporation of lessons learned. Hiring, training and mentoring of project managers as Deployment Mangers, to execute the remaining deployments against plan.

Operated as Global Deployment Lead together with peer in Europe, to oversee all deployments, interface with Program Governance, corporate quality/validation and regional management, manage resources, risks, issues and change management. Directed team of 12 project managers, continuing to provide mentoring and implement process improvement through lessons learned from each deployment.

Transitioned operational aspects of program to non-program Pfizer project teams to continue work beyond the life of the project and into subsequent project years. Consolidation of data from target applications, databases and infrastructure for retirement due to migration of content and users to new global system. Documentation of all components, business procedures, assets and any savings.
