Administrative Mechanical Lead and Requisition duties for the Ellington office specializing in refinery and petrochemical facility studies, upgrades and modifications with up to 10 mechanical engineers and specialists supporting 5 alliances and projects up to $100M TIC. General duties included: Review of up to 20 different project staffing forecasts and schedules, Development of staffing and equipment estimates / bids, training and development of senior and junior staff, Project Lead duties including budget development and tracking, change management, resource utilization and client meetings and communications, Requisition compilation/issue including data sheet, specification and inspection documents and Construction Work Packages (CWPs) and documentation. Included Equipment: API 620 shop built tanks, gear pumps, API 672 Compressor Packages, centrifugal pumps, air coolers, shell & tube heat exchangers, vessels and extensive specialty items such as hoses, blinds, valves and piping items, thermal oxidizers, remote controlled fire monitors, valves sample stations, vent scrubber tanks, miscellaneous items for the HF catalyst storage.

- Rotating Equipment Requisition Engineer providing technical bid package evaluation including requisition updates, Clarification and Exception (C&E) development and disposition (up to 2,100 C&Es per piece of equipment coordinated between numerous internal Project and Supplier organizations), General Arrangement and Material Matrix review / comments for GE Oil & Gas LM2500+ Gas Turbines with Siemens Generators and NFPA 750 water mist suppression skids, Siemens Dresser-Rand API Datum centrifugal compressors with Siemens motors and Lufkin gearboxes. - Technical Bid Evaluation Engineer providing initial technical review and clarification development for vendor offerings for electrically driven Centrifugal and Screw compressor packages as well as cursory review of unit ASME Section VIII disengagement vessels and shell & tube exchangers.
- Responsible Engineer (RE) for fabrication and delivery support of pipeline and transfer pumps, API and non-API centrifugal pumps, 1,500 kVA natural gas fired generator sets, Ethylene Glycol regeneration and BTEX removal skid, ground combustor/thermal oxidizer, bridge crane and static mixers. - Coordinated 19 Junior to Senior-level engineering staff in the detail design and construction support for an extremely aggressive $500M methanol plant project. This included US personnel evaluations and coordination of staff in Beijing office. Provided mechanical construction contract liaison including equipment package definition and site meetings. Requisition Engineer for 120 kW Diesel Generator Set, Steam Surface Condenser, FRP Cooling Water Tower and 200 HP Centrifugal Blowers.
- Developed and led a Project Management Consultant (PMC) team of 10 Engineers for the engineering review and completion of the Basic Engineering Package (BEP) for the
$9B refinery design review project. Led a second team of Houston based Senior Engineers to provide PMC activities associated with the refinery utilizing a petroleum coke power plant and solids handling equipment for sulfur and pet coke, 48” aqueduct with pump station design, a 320 km crude oil pipeline with 5MW diesel driven pump stations. Interfaced with other disciplines including Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, etc. and clients, supported Chinese based Contractor updating / creating associated technical documents and supported the mechanical scope of an Initial Technical Bid. 2005 – 2011 BTEC Turbines, L.P.

- Led in-house and contract teams in the engineering / client specification development, design, detail purchasing specifications / data sheets and manufacturing and installation technical direction of a Rolls-Royce 501-KB aeroderivative gas turbine generator set
(turbine, high speed gear, generator, frame, enclosure, and filter assembly). Work included mechanical, electrical, and limited controls coordination for a Canadian client with development and delivery in less than 12 months. Led specification development, detail design, and procurement of turbine gas and liquid fuel systems including pumps, filters, piping, control / instrumentation, enclosures, program logic and project manuals.
- Lead Engineer in the development of a General Electric Frame 7EA Dual Fuel, 60-to-50 Hz packaged power conversion design package including a 113,000 Hp / 3600 rpm AGMA gear, gear lubrication oil system to general API specifications, pumps, fans, fuel system, program logic and preliminary installation, and O&M project package.
- Directly supported turbine outages for GE Frame 5P, 6B and 7B/C gas turbines and the associated equipment including blowers, fans, pumps, and vibration programs.
- Lead Engineer for the investigation to determine the viability of compression ignition of landfill methane gas in standard and modified heavy commercial truck engine generator sets, duties included engineering research into engine modifications and conceptual development of a dry gas fuel injector.

Contract Repair Engineer, Lead Facilitator, Technical and Customer Service for the Houston Service Center’s SW501FD/G turbine compressor diaphragm modification program supporting the larger $400 million corporate program and delivery of compressor stationary parts to 25 outages in a nine month period while accommodating numerous design and schedule changes. Performed quotation, specification, detail design, modification, installation and commissioning of air filtration / movement, chiller / anti-icing, custom steam injection, engine conversions, exhaust, rotating equipment, auxiliary mechanical and electrical, hydraulic start, liquid and gas fuel, turbine base, fire protection, foundation, generator, boiler and control system hardware.
