EXPERIENCE

Emakemtos USA Inc. Houston, TX, USA 2019 - Present

CEO/Principal Consultant (Geoscience and Engineering)

Developed and delivered an industry-focused course on New Opportunities and Production Optimization in Mature Fields, as a Consultant to Acetop Energy, USA.

Consulted for an E & P company in Nigeria on static and dynamic modeling, simultaneous AVO inversion for reservoir characterization (facies classification), using prestack seismic and well logs data from a Niger Delta oilfield. The aim is to aid optimum well placement and field development.

Consulted for a company on the 4-D screening of a portfolio of brownfields to determine candidate fields for feasibility of 4-D seismic campaign to unmask bypassed & compartmentalized oil through accurate infill wells placement.

Energy and Environmental Research Center Grand Forks, ND, USA 2015 - 2019

Research Scientist (Technical Team Lead - Geoscience and Engineering Data Integration)

Led the 2D/3D seismic interpretation and time-depth conversion for several oil producing clients.

Led the implementation of machine learning application for modeling of missing sections of well logs and integration of well logs and seismic data to predict reservoir properties.

Led a multi-disciplinary team of four to develop an innovative workflow for 4D seismic inversion integrated with pulsed neutron logs, fluid-flow model to monitor, manage and optimize production from Bell Creek reservoir subjected to CO2 EOR and incidental CO2 storage.

Generated workflow and user documentation for field implementation of Fairfield Nodal ZLand 3C seismic data acquisition receiver system. Significantly contributed to field design, risk assessment and mitigation controls for 2D/3D/4D seismic acquisition.

Conducted geomechanical inversions of pre-stack seismic data sets as inputs to building of geomechanics models for a reservoir subjected to CO2 EOR, and an unconventional reservoir.

Developed a MATLAB workflow to manipulate 3D seismic coordinate projection. This saved the company several thousands of Dollars by avoiding subcontracting the task.

Edinburgh Time Lapse Project Edinburgh, United Kingdom 2010 - 2015

Researcher (Time Lapse Geophysics and Reservoir Engineering Data Integration)

Provided QI Geophysical R & D services to major oil companies (e.g. BP, ExxonMobil).

Static and Dynamic Simulation Modeling of various production mechanisms (e.g. LoSal EOR).

Developed workflow for Simulation-to-Electromagnetic (EM) modeling, integrated with Simulation-to Seismic modeling for joint sensitivity studies of time-lapse marine seismic and EM for reservoir-monitoring. This involved rock physics modeling, and optimal survey designs.

Compared time-lapse marine seismic and EM modeled responses. This revealed the value of integrating EM and Seismic in reservoir monitoring.

British Geological Survey Edinburgh, United Kingdom 2009 - 2009

Graduate Intern Geophysicist

Conducted 2-D seismic processing (velocity picking/analysis) using ProMax.

Estimated the seismic quality factor (Q) using spectral ratio method.

Related Q to the porosity of the fractured reservoir for a back-of-the-envelope reserve estimation.

Royal Energy Limited Lagos, Nigeria 2002 – 2008

Geoscientist (Exploration Geophysicist)

Data room activities, farm-in prospect evaluation, play analysis, reserve estimation, and field development guided by seismic data interpretation, seismic tie with well logs, inversion, and time-depth conversion.

Worked with vendors on seismic data acquisition survey design, planning and execution, and data processing to ensure high quality and timely deliverables.
