Profile

Lebanese, born July 1965, living in Dubai with my wife and 15-year-old daughter. I am an experienced sales director with an impressive track record in a variety of industries ranging from personal use shopping good products, to specialty goods and complex systems and software applications for aircraft guidance that enhance safety, efficiency and throughput at all airports. I am a very versatile with solid experiences spanning from marketing, sales, business development, sales management, project management, operation & general management. I have worked in retail, wholesale and large value project-based sales. The last 8 years of my career were spent within the aviation industry, focusing on the sale of overall airport operation solutions from Air Traffic Management, to airside, gate and terminal areas. My responsibilities included conducting research, meeting the different operational stakeholders and leading site surveys for the proper assessment of particular airport operations throughout the region. Prior to this, I was the general manager of a general trading company in Qatar with activities ranging from project sale of domestic and office furniture to engineering ships. I am team oriented, ambitious, and cooperative. I am a very fast learner. I also pride myself for “thinking outside the box” and thrive in an international environment creating professional relationships within multi-cultural customers. 11.2012- General Manager, Safegate KSA, Dubai, UAE 06.2016: In-charge of the overall Safegate Saudi operation. While my main responsibilities were business development and sales of the Safegate aircraft guidance portfolio, the scope of my accountabilities included deliveries as well as supervising project management, specialized services and ensuring profitability of the overall process. In a very short period, I managed to monopolize the airfield ground lighting and visual docking guidance system markets for the benefit of Safegate. I had a dedicated team of 2 sales managers. 03.2006 - General Manager, Business Projects Company – Qatar, Doha 11.2012: In-charge of the whole operation. Managing procurement, sales, project management and finance. The company’s activities were general trading with a scope ranging from project based domestic and office furniture, special engineering ships as well as the marketing and sale of the portfolios of our sister companies in Dubai, The Netherlands & Sweden

04.1993 - Sales Manager, Cosmetics then Furniture, White Stores Company, Kuwait 05.1995: Responsible for the purchasing, pricing, advertising, marketing and sales for the company brands and products. Managed 2 portfolios in cosmetics, a supermarket shelf top line of personal care and basic make-up and a refined full cosmetics and make-up line sold in elite outlets only. I was then promoted to manage an elite domestic furniture showroom.

04.1992 - Acting Claims Dept. Manager, ALICO (now Metlife), Beirut, Lebanon 04.1993: Managing the Claims Department consisting of a team of 2 claim advisors, 4 investigators and 1 medical expert (doctor). Among my achievements were shortening the claim processing turnaround time from over 4 weeks to 7 days, uncovered multiple fraudulent claims, provided superior service.
