Project Management Office – Bears Choice Technologies (Consulting for a Major Bank) Jul 2019 - Present

Oversaw development and delivery for Federal Reserve compliance initiative (Y-14) to remediate the Bank’s loan portfolio. The effort consisted of building a Banker friendly user application to adjust loan fields and then have the loans systematically uploaded to a golden source system. Responsibilities included delivery of the s/w using an Agile methodology, coordinating UAT, monitoring Production usage, and overall reporting to Senior Stakeholders.

QA Mgr / Release Mgr / Prod Support Mgr – Kinetix Trading, Princeton, NJ Jul 2018 – Jul 2019

Lead a Tier 1 customer through a Fixed Income/Futures transformation project. As a vendor, we decommissioned legacy systems and provided new technology to help the customer streamline their work flows, save costs, and give transparency to stakeholders. I ran QA, Release Mgmt, Prod Support, held daily scrums with R&D, and provided strategic guidance.

Global Head of QA – SSEOMS (Bloomberg Equity Trading) – Bloomberg, Princeton & NY

Responsible for driving and managing a team of Senior Analysts to test and deliver a Compliant Equity Trading Platform for US, EMEA, and APAC customers.

Notable Accomplishments:

• Managed, tested and delivered a compliant MIFID II Trading Platform for European customers. This consisted of many relevant work streams including Trade Reporting, Transaction Reporting, Record Keeping, FIX Enhancements, & Reference Data – a major yearlong effort to allow our customers to be compliant with the new regulations – and a huge success.

• Expanded and educated the scope of the team to place an emphasis on Project Management. This was a huge step for the team, as prior to my arrival, the emphasis was on Waterfall Ad Hoc testing. After moving to a Project Management based approach, we increased productivity, transparency, and reporting to Stakeholders. This was a monumental transformation to the team’s approach in testing and has led to a successful execution of our testing efforts.

• Oversaw the design and execution of a Python based automated testing suite for OATS and US Trade Reporting. The savings from automating these test suites was 70k per year.

As a key member of the Senior Team, I was globally responsible for delivering TradingScreen’s Multi-Asset trading platform to both buy-side and sell side customers. Guided customers to redefine how their desks use the latest technology and lower their total cost of ownership. My day-to-day responsibilities involved wearing multiple hats including pre-sales, gathering business requirements, managing implementations, defining the QA process both internally and externally, and executing the delivery.

As an Executive Advisor, provided guidance in a critical transformation effort for a Tier 1 Wealth Management customer (10,000 employees +) to create the premier platform in the Financial Advisory space. Includes a major and complete revamp of core systems (Advisor Workstation, CRM, Broker Dealer Operations, Mobil Capability, Social Media, Cloud & Infrastructure) to provide the best end user experience for the client. Responsible for managing the and delivering Fidessa’s suite of products to Tier 1 investment banks. Responsible for development, delivery and QA of enterprise equity trading systems. Charged with creating and maintaining relationships with senior executives at customer sites to ensure successful delivery of implementations via billable consultancy. Tasked with interviewing, hiring, and deploying project managers to new and existing projects. Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance issues such as Reg NMS, Reg SHO, Best Ex which have the potential to affect customer business, creating additional revenue opportunities.

Notable Accomplishments:

• Delivered a key program of regional trading systems in New York, Mexico, and Brazil for a Tier 1 global investment bank. These implementations were highly visible and established Fidessa as a legitimate player in the LATAM markets.

• Increased consultancy revenues by 20% per annum for the Enterprise division over a five-year period by persuading customers to retain or increase onsite resources at their sites.

• Revised Fidessa’s business model to include billable project management services in addition to the purely technical resources allocated to customers, resulting in increased consultancy revenue.

Directed all aspects of QA to ensure the quality of Fidessa trading applications. Responsible for hiring, managing, and growing the group.

Notable Accomplishments:

• Successfully launched Fidessa’s first QA department and grew the group to more than 20 resources. Became a subject matter expert in Fidessa’s order management, trading, and middle office applications.

• Selected by Fidessa’s CEO to ensure the first US implementation for a large customer was properly tested and validated. The six-month effort required relocation to the Midwest while teams worked under enormous pressure to tie in key interfaces, static data, and external/internal compliance regulations for the customer, leading to a successful launch.

QA Manager (Consultant), Deutsche Bank; Jersey City, NJ Jan 1999 –Jan 2000

Responsible for managing a group of 10 QA specialists to design, document, and execute use cases for extracting accounting records from two internal systems into a central repository.
